Your guide to Truck Breakdown & Recovery
If you breakdown, we offer two types of truck breakdown cover to get you home – Roadside Recovery and Total UK Base Cover.
Roadside Recovery
If you breakdown more than 1 mile from your operating centre, a breakdown engineer will attend and try to fix your vehicle at the roadside for up to 3 hours.
Total UK Base Cover
For complete peace of mind, you can choose Total UK Base Cover. It offers all the protection of Roadside Recovery while away from your operating centre, plus the same cover if your vehicle breaks down within 1 mile of your operating centre.
Getting you home
If your vehicle can’t be fixed at the roadside within 3 hours, you and your vehicle will be taken to any one place within the UK or to the nearest repairer.
Other ways to get you home
If we can’t get you and your vehicle home together, we will also provide one of the following to complete your journey:
- Vehicle hire up to £250
- Alternative means of public transport up to £150
- Overnight accommodation for one night up to £75 per person
Lost keys
If your vehicle keys are lost or locked in your vehicle, we can either take you to the nearest local repairer, or take you to and from where the spare keys are located.
Replacement Driver
If the only insured driver is medically unfit to drive we will arrange for a chauffeur to drive or transport the vehicle to the operating centre or destination, whichever is closer.
