We thought you’d like to meet the faces behind the phones – so here’s a little peak into our world, and an introduction to some of the members of our team.
Senior Team
Ian Pitt
Director
Brought up in a family of hauliers, Ian has been looking after the insurance interests of the haulage industry since starting his career in 1994. He’s a family man at home. Having retired from amateur motocross a few years ago, when he’s not in the office you’ll usually find him hitting the mountain bike trails in search of his next adrenaline rush.
Louise Holden
Conduct & Governance Manager
Louise brings a wealth of experience in compliance-based insurance roles, combining meticulous attention to detail with a pragmatic approach to navigating the regulatory landscape. Outside of work, life is just as busy, with twins who keep her permanently on her toes. When she does manage to grab a quiet moment, it’s usually accompanied by her not-so-secret weakness – Haribo!
Frazer Wilkie
Manager – Truck Division
After travelling solo around the world for a year, Frazer returned to the haulage insurance industry in 2000. He quickly built a reputation for hard work, dedication and always putting his clients first. Frazer is a keen amateur chef and loves to entertain his family and friends. He runs off the calories in half marathons, and he’s now working up to the full 26.2 miles!
Mike Scott
Manager – Fleet Division
After joining the industry in 2001, Mike has dedicated his entire career to haulage insurance, so his knowledge and passion are second to none. It’s hard getting him away from the office, but when we do, he can normally be found at the weekends, pitch-side, cheering on his son’s football team. But can we forgive him for being a lifelong Villa fan?

Having started his insurance career in 2016, Ben is knowledgeable, has a keen eye for detail, and always puts his clients at the heart of everything he does. In his spare time, he’s an avid football fan and proud father of 3. Ben enjoys nothing more than spending time with his family or being pitch-side – but ideally, both.
Liam Gregg
New Business Account Handler
Liam’s a die-hard Sunderland fan who swapped the North East for Shrewsbury to kick-start a new life in insurance. With over 10 years in sales, he knows how to look after his clients. Away from work, he’s at the gym, in the bath, or being modest (…so he says!).
Jamie Beebee
New Business Account Handler
Jamie left behind the worlds of hospitality and sport to put his competitive side to full use in B2B Sales. Now, over 3 years later, he’s found himself drawn to insurance, where he wants to put everything he’s learned into helping his new clients. Outside of the office, he’s a pool league team captain, keen swimmer, and former country-level triathlete, who also can’t resist a good karaoke sing-song at the weekends.
Stuart Smith
New Business Account Handler
New to the insurance world, Stuart brings over 15 years of B2B sales experience to the Compare team – he has a keen eye for detail and a genuine passion for client-focused service. Outside of work, you’ll find Stuart enjoying family time, out walking his dog Bobby, or improving his golf swing. He’s also a proud Birmingham City fan – we promise not to hold it against him!

Laura Gittins
Client Services Team Leader
Laura is an experienced Team Leader with great attention to detail – a skill that’s come in handy both in the office and at home, where she’s outnumbered by four children, a dog and two cats! Between family life, endless taxi duties, and keeping everyone fed, watered, and where they’re supposed to be, Laura somehow still finds time to enjoy family days out. Despite the occasional complaint, she wouldn’t have it any other way! When she gets a bit of time to herself, Laura loves holidays with her trucker partner, a bottomless brunch, theme parks, and reliving her youth at concerts!
Chloe Broadhurst
Client Services Account Handler
With a Business Management degree, Chloe brings a wealth of knowledge. In the office, she’s known as ‘Shazam’ as she is quite literally a walking jukebox, enjoying as many concerts and events as she can, including Oasis, Stereophonics and Kasabian! Chloe is a spontaneous roadie, often venturing to new places with her friends.
Nathan Day
Client Services Account Handler
Having recently completed an BSc and MSc in Business Related studies at University, Nathan is ready and keen to embark on a new challenge in the insurance industry. Outside of work, Nathan is a runner, gym fanatic, and life-long Villa supporter. He’s training for the Manchester Half Marathon, but says he may have to cut back on his other life passion for drinking.

Renewals Team Leader
Arron has been helping clients navigate the world of insurance since 2013, with a particular focus on haulage and transport insurance. His friendly yet professional approach has made him a trusted adviser to businesses across the sector. Away from work, Arron is a devoted Wolves fan, a proud dad, and has a trainer collection that some might describe as impressive and others might describe as excessive. Thankfully, his expertise in insurance is far less controversial.
Nick McCann
Renewals Account Handler
Nick swapped the bustling world of accounting for an industry that’s even more hair-raising! Always ready for a new challenge, he joined our company in 2024, starting in our Fleet department before moving to the Renewals team in 2025. Nick consistently goes above and beyond for his clients, always striving to deliver the best possible service. Outside of work, you’ll often find him keeping fit at the gym, enjoying a pint or two with friends, taking part in parkruns, or heading off on a camping trip.
Nathan Parker
Renewals Account Handler
Nathan brings 8 years of sales and customer service experience with him to the world of insurance – and now he’s ready for a new challenge. Outside of the office, Nathan enjoys spending days out with his 2 children, and is a big rugby league fan – both watching, and amateur coaching in the Challenge Cup.
Sophie Spearman
Renewals Account Handler
After years in customer service and sales, Sophie recently made the move into insurance, bringing plenty of experience in building relationships and getting things done. When Sophie is not helping clients, you’ll likely find her watching rugby or cheering on women’s sport. Friendly, approachable, and always up for a laugh, she doesn’t take herself too seriously.

Technical Broker
Since she started her career in 2000, Nikki has amassed a wealth of technical insurance knowledge, which she brings to the Compare HGV Insurance family and make her an invaluable part of our team. She doesn’t have much spare time as her daughters keep her on her toes, although she is known to enjoy a glass (or two) of red.
Beth Neeson
Trainee Broker
Beth joined Compare HGV 4 years ago, fresh out of University, where she got her first-class International Business degree. When she’s not hard at work, she can usually be found with her nose in a book, having recently joined a book-club, or working on her own! In fact, she’s so committed to the craft that she does everything in her power to avoid using ChatGPT!
