We thought you’d like to meet the faces behind the phones – so here’s a little peak into our world, and an introduction to some of the members of our team.
Ian Pitt
Director
Brought up in a family of hauliers, Ian has spent the last 31 years looking after the insurance interests of the haulage industry. He’s a family man at home. And having retired as an amateur motocross rider a few years ago, when he’s not in the office, he now hits the mountain bike trails at the weekends to get that extra adrenalin rush.
Louise Holden
Conduct & Governance Manager
Louise’s 19 years’ experience in compliance-based insurance roles brings our business a meticulous, yet pragmatic, approach to applying the regulatory framework we are governed by. Outside of work, Louise would love to have some spare time, but ferrying her twins to football, drama and martial arts classes keeps her busy, all fuelled by a healthy addiction to Haribo’s!
Mike Scott
Fleet Manager
Mike has dedicated his entire 25-year career to the haulage insurance industry, so his knowledge and passion is second to none. It’s hard getting him away from the office, but when we do, he can normally be found at the weekends, pitch-side, cheering on his son’s football team. But can we forgive him for being a lifelong Villa fan?
Ian Kelly
Development Executive
Ian brings over 30 years of sales experience to this role, with a strong background in the recycling, plant hire and construction markets. He is client-focused and workis alongside his customers to create true partnerships. Away from the office Ian is a sound engineer, musician, and budding stand-up comic. He is married to Gayle, thinks professional wrestling is real, and used to support Derby County.
Nikki Dunn
Technical Broker
Bringing over 26 years’ experience, and a wealth of technical insurance knowledge to the Compare HGV Insurance family, Nikki is a great asset we’re proud to have on board. She doesn’t have much spare time as her daughters keep her on her toes, although she is known to enjoy a glass (or two) of red.
Stuart Smith
Trainee Broker
New to the insurance world, Stuart brings over 15 years of B2B sales experience to the Compare team – he has a keen eye for detail and a genuine passion for client-focused service. Outside of work, you’ll find Stuart enjoying family time, out walking his dog Bobby, or improving his golf swing. He’s also a proud Birmingham City fan – we promise not to hold it against him!
Frazer Wilkie
New Business Team Leader
After travelling solo around the world for a year, Frazer came back into the haulage insurance industry 16 years ago. His hard work and dedication shines through with his clients. Frazer is a keen amateur chef and loves to entertain his family and friends. He runs off the calories in half marathons, and he’s now working up to the full 26.2 miles!
Ben Frays
New Business Account Handler
With over 6 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Ben is knowledgeable, has a keen eye for detail, and always puts his clients at the heart of everything he does. In his spare time, he’s an avid football fan and proud father of 2. Ben enjoys nothing more than spending time with his family, pitch side, or ideally both.
Liam Gregg
New Business Account Handler
Liam’s a die-hard Sunderland fan who swapped the North East for Shrewsbury to kick-start a new life in insurance. With 10 years in sales, he knows how to look after his clients. Away from work, he’s at the gym, in the bath, or being modest (…so he says!).
Jamie Beebee
New Business Account Handler
Jamie left behind the worlds of hospitality and sport to put his competitive side to full use in B2B Sales. 3 years later, he’s found himself drawn to insurance, where he wants to put everything he’s learned into helping his new clients. Outside of the office, he’s a pool league team captain, keen swimmer, and former country-level triathlete, who also can’t resist a good karaoke sing-song at the weekends.
Laura Gittins
Cust. Service Team Leader
Laura’s an experienced account handler with great attention to detail. She’s a dedicated mum of two, spending weekends and evenings taxiing them between kick-boxing, swimming and ballet. When she does got a moment to herself, Laura loves weekends away in Wales, theme parks, a good comedy night, or re-living her youth at concerts. N-dubz fans watch out!
Chloe Broadhurst

Chloe brings a wealth of knowledge with her after recently graduated with a degree in Business Management from university. She’s a keen music fan, enjoying as many concerts and events as she can, including the latest Oasis tour. Chloe’s also an adventurous roadie herself, regularly driving out with her friends to find new places to visit.
Nathan Day

Having recently completed an BSc and MSc in Business Related studies at University, Nathan is ready and keen to embark on a new challenge in the insurance industry. Outside of work, Nathan is a runner, gym fanatic, and life-long Villa supporter. He’s training for the Manchester Half Marathon, but says he may have to cut back on his other life passion for drinking.
Arron Green
Renewals Team Leader
With 13 years’ haulage insurance experience, Arron’s friendly-yet-professional approach hits the spot with his clients. Don’t let his ‘unique’ collection of trainers, or the fact that he’s an avid Wolves fan, put you off. He can be found in the gym 4 or 5 times a week, although we’re still to figure out quite what he does there!
Beth Neeson
Renewals Account Handler
Holding a first-class degree in international business, Beth knows what it takes to make our company work. And that’s putting clients first, all the time, every time. At 4’9” Beth’s biggest challenge is getting asked for ID when she orders her favourite tipple – a large glass of rosé! A keen cyclist too, Beth commutes by pedal-power daily, setting up her energy levels perfectly for the day ahead.
Nick McCann
Renewals Account Handler
Having left behind the bustling world of accounting, Nick is the latest recruit to our Fleet team and he’s ready for a new challenge. Often found keeping himself fit at the gym, he also enjoys a pint or two with his mates or practicing his aerial photography & videography skills with his new drone.
